KFC Style Chicken at Home
It’s Sunday again and this time I thought to lay my hands on Chicken Legs! Yeah, I am making KFC Style Fried Chicken.
Let’s check out the recipe.
– Chicken Legs
– Ginger Garlic Paste
– Chili Powder
– Flour/ Maida
– Corn Flour
– Corn Flakes/ Oats for coating
– Oil for frying
First of all make some slits on the leg pieces with a knife.
Then take a bowl and pour in some buttermilk. Add salt, ginger- garlic paste, pepper, and give it a good mix. Drop in the leg pieces and leave it in the fridge for at least 2-3 hours or overnight for best results. If you do not have time then you can skip this step. However, if you really want the chicken to be juicy from inside, you do need to do this process.
Now let’s make the coating flour. Take a bowl and add some flour/ maida. Add some salt, red chili powder, corn flour and pepper. Mix well.
Take another bowl and place some roughly crushed corn flakes in it.
Take out the chicken legs from the fridge.
What you have now are the buttermilk mixture, a bowl of corn flakes and the flour mixture.
Take out a leg piece from the buttermilk misxture and coat it with the flour mixture. Then again dip it in the buttermilk mixture. Finally coat it well with the corn flakes. Repeat the same with all the pieces and deep fry.
There you have your own homemade KFC style fried chicken..!!!
